Never dropped a q7, the "best item" I dropped was a q8 FDS 14^50, and another q8 FDS without ineherent mods

The only q7 I once saw in game was also a FDS, 15^50.

well it was when i hadn't been playing long so i was using it in a hydra farming warrior build, i did get a PC from the price check thread with everyone saying merch it. I think i may have just sold it in game though.

To set the record straight:

When unconditionals first dropped, they either had a Vamp mod or Zealous mod, paired with the 15/-1 health/regen damage mod. When the weapon dropped, it would only have one of the -1 regens on the weapon. Because there was 2 of the -1 regens, it would REMOVE the 15/-1 regen, and when you changed the mod, it would be unconditional. This was the bug.

Now, there were some weapons that dropped with only one -1 regen, so it would appear that they were unconditional, but later (some even MUCH later), when remodded the weapon would correct itself and add the -1 regen. This is because they were never an unconditional, just a similar bug. It's very possible that the Chaos Axe was this bug, that it dropped during that time period and when remodded, fixed itself. Whether the posted is telling the truth or not, that's up to him to tell us.

Basically, there was 2 kinds of 'unconditionals'. Ones that were ACTUAL unconditionals (could be modded properly) and ones that broke, because they weren't ever unconditional. I remember wayyyyyy back in the day, someone was selling an unconditional, and everyone demanded that he remod it to confirm that it was actually 14% always. He remodded, the weapon added the -1 regen, and his c/o went from 500 ecto, to 0 plat. Poor guy

i once owned a r7 15%^50 gladius because of the farming build i was using, sold it after the build got nerfed, thx to anet, >_<.
i heard there was a r7 zodiac sword 15%^50, would really like to get that if any1 has it.

I think you are talking about the R8 14% Serpent Axe which everyone demanded be remodded to settle all the uncertainty. It got remodded was still unconditional and a guildie bought it for 7 million gold. The Serpent had either a vamp or zealous mod which was its original mod it got changed to an elemental mod and it still remained unconditional. Cant think of any other sales where everyone demanded it to be remodded.

Seeing as he is your guild mate I am sure it would not be a problem obtaining a screenshot. Of course I am sure there is some form of excuse which will prevent it happening.

There really should be a rule on GuildWarsGuru which bans people who lie and make up bs. I know other sites have such rules.

Why the hell would Martin lie about a weapon that isn't even his?

The weapon exists whether you believe it does or not, at least a dozen people can testify to that fact.

The thing is, unconditionals and req7's can't possibly be together are they weren't in the game at the same time. Unless the weapon isn't max, then yes, it's possible.

And yeah, I think I remember that Serpent Herb, but I'm sure there was another that wasn't unconditional after remodding. It was a long time ago, so I dunno...

When you have proof, then I'll stand corrected. So far, it's a whole lot of talk, and no evidence. "Oh, but he hasn't been on for 6 months". Either find him some way else, or find one of the screenshots he UNDOUBTEDLY took.

I am sure someone would have taken a screenshot of such an incredible weapon. I mean there are tons of screenshots of the 15% Dwarven Axe. An R7 unconditional weapon would be a weapon which people would constantly be asking to see. When that happens they usually take screenshots. Those screenshots end up on forums or passed around in-game.

I dont believe R7 unconditionals exist for a number of reasons: -

1. I have never seen one in-game nor has anyone I personally know (which includes just about every incredibly rich player pre-duping who would have offered insane amounts in order to buy one).

2. I have never seen a genuine screenshot of one.

3. Noone reliable (who I trust) has ever stated seeing one.

4. R7 & Unconditional weapons did not drop at the same time. It would be like having computers in medieval times.

5. There is always an excuse as to why a screenshot cannot be provided or contacting the player is impossible.

However, non-max unconditional weapons dropped in Kryta in purple and gold. So maybe there is the possibility that there are non-max r7 unconditional weapons out there. But by non max I mean like majorly off max not like 1 dmg or something.

Agreed.

This reminds me of all the old school gold 15>50 sickle & tribal axe threads. People would argue for days on end that they or their friend has one but could never offer any proof.
